The Wanted's Nathan Sykes 'Overwhelmed' By Fan Support After Surgery

'You are all amazing!' he tweets to fans after his throat procedure.

Talk about the worst birthday ever. Though The Wanted's Nathan Sykes was forced to spend his 20th in a Los Angeles hospital undergoing vocal cord surgery, the singer told fans he was stunned by the support from them during his health crisis.
"Not gonna lie, I have been completely overwhelmed by all of the love, support and birthday wishes from you guys," he tweeted Thursday evening. "You are all amazing!!"

The group announced this week that Sykes would be taking an "unforeseen hiatus"
 from the boy band after developing what has been described as hemorrhaged nodule on one of his vocal cords. He traveled to Los Angeles and underwent surgery on Thursday, tweeting a short time afterwards, "Out of surgery ... what a way to spend my birthday!"
Before he went under the knife, bandmate Tom Parker checked in to give an update. "Just seen Nath," he wrote, "He was away with the fairies but doing OK. Grateful for all your messages."
In addition to fans sending their love, manager Scooter Braun also offered some encouragement, writing, "Happy to hear @NathanTheWanted is out of surgery and getting rest. #HappyBrithdayNath."
The surprise news of the hiatus came on Wednesday in a statement from a spokesperson, which read, "We can confirm that The Wanted's Nathan Sykes will under go specialist throat surgery on Thursday 18th April in Los Angeles and as such will be taking unforeseen hiatus form The Wanted," read the statement. "The priority for Nathan, his label and management is that he is given time to recover and receive the best treatment possible. The remaining four members of The Wanted will continue fulfilling the bands promotional commitments across the world."

Coldplay to release Mylo Xyloto comic book for Record Store Day

Coldplay have announced that they will release special 'Mylo Xyloto' comic book for Record Store Day.

The band will put out the first issue of the comic strip alongside a 7" vinyl picture disc featuring the tracks 'Hurts Like Heaven' and 'Us Against The World (Live)' on April 20. Several issues of the book are already available on the band's website.

The series reveals the story behind the band's 2011 album 'Mylo Xyloto' and was written by Coldplay with Oscar-nominated writer and director Mark Osborne (who was behind Kung Fu Panda and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie) and will be published by Simpsons creator Matt Groening's Bongo Comics Group.

Earlier this month, Coldplay's second album 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' was named BBC Radio 2 listeners' all-time favourite album. The band's 2002 LP came top of a list of 100 albums, beating Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' and The Beatles' 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'

This year's Record Store Day will see a raft of special releases and rare tracks made available in over 200 record stores across the UK. Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Pulp, Biffy Clyro, The xx, Bat For Lashes and a host of other names are also set to put out special releases for the event. Black Eyed Peas and The Voice UK star will.i.am has teamed up with Miley Cyrus for his new single Fall Down. The dance track is the latest cut to be taken from the rapper's new album #willpower.
Miley recently tweeted lyrics from the song.

Psy's New Hit "Gentleman" .

South Korean rapper Psy's new video, "Gentleman", rocketed up the YouTube heights with more than 82 million views on Tuesday, chasing the success of his megahit "Gangnam Style" after smashing the previous record for first-day views for songs.

"Gangnam Style", which holds the YouTube record for most views ever with more than 1.5 billion, made the corpulent Korean a global star and one of the best-known faces to come out of the growing K-pop music scene.


The video to "Gentleman" racked up more than 20 million hits in the first 24 hours after its release on Saturday night. That easily outstripped the 8 million views for Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" in its first 24 hours.

"51 million views in 40 hours!!My God!!" Psy tweeted on Monday.

The song was also climbing music charts around the world, hitting 8th in Britain and 7th in Australia, according to the Apple store's iTunes ranking, and holding top place in most of Scandinavia. It ranked 21st for songs overall, compared with 90th place on Saturday before the video was released.

"He is good. I love his energy," one woman commented on YouTube. Others said the video was hilarious and the sunglass-wearing 35-year-old's dancing "smooth."

Some were less complimentary, with a few saying the video was arrogant and "too sexual". It shows Psy playing tricks on women such as splashing coffee in their faces and untying a bikini top.

"Meh. 'Gangnam Style' was better," one woman wrote.

"Gangnam Style" racked up digital sales of 3.59 million units in the United States and Canada last year, according to Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen BDS, 9th in the best-selling list. It was third on Amazon's MP3.

We doubt that many of you went through school without being required to read the brave young girl's diary, which she kept while she and other Jewish people hid in the attic for two years before eventually being caught and killed by Nazis, but apparently, the Biebs either missed it entirely or just couldn't be bothered to think outside the realm of himself for two minutes, as a spokesperson for the musuem revealed today:

"He stayed more than an hour in the museum. In our guestbook he wrote: 'Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.'"

And according to a BBC Hague correspondent who reached out to the Anne Frank House press office:
Not very sensible? It was just flat-out RUDE.
We don't care how "strange" the life he's living is!

The Voice's "Best Battle Ever" Is So Insane, It Leaves Coaches Speechless—Watch Now!

Newsflash: If you aren't watching The Voice, you are missing what is perhaps the clearest winner ever of a reality singing competition. No, really, not even Kelly Clarkson was this good this early on!
Tonight, on night one of the Battle Rounds, Judith Hill—the powerhouse who blew away the coaches in auditions—took on Karina Iglesias for a spot on Adam Levine's team, and the result was so soul-shakingly good, the performance received a standing ovation by both the audience and the coaches, and coach Blake Shelton couldn't even speak at first. He then admitted he was "freaking out."

"That was not a great battle," Adam told the women, who sang James Brown's "This Is a Man's World." "That was the best battle we've ever seen on this show."
After getting blasted by Shakira and Blake for pitting the women against each other, Adam then was tasked with the difficult duty of cutting one of the women loose. Naturally, although Iglesias certainly held her own (no small feat), he kept Hill, who seems destined for superstardom...like, now. Almost immediately, Shakira slammed her button and stole away Iglesias to her own team. So neither of the women will be leaving the show.

Drake VS Chris Brown

The row between Drake and Chris Brown seems to have been going on for longer than a juicy Eastenders storyline and it shows no sign of letting up thanks to some recent comments made by Drake...
During an interview Drake was asked about Brown and was quick to answer with, "Don't ask s*** about that man when I come up there. Leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities."
Erm, that sounds suspiciously like someone is sticking up for their past enemy, non? Err, NO.
"His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I'm more poppin' than him and that at one point in life the woman he loves fell into my lap."

All those things combined create an individual that comes into your radio station and is just gonna do dumb s***. We have an issue and it's either gonna drag out or maybe in ten years we'll laugh about it over drinks. Just let us solve that s***."
We're not too optimistic that Drake and Chris Brown will be LOLing over lunch about their tiff anytime soon, especially after Drake ended with this...

Twilight Stars at Coachella Vampire Weekend

"Twilight" lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had a couples getaway this weekend, heading to the Coachella music festival for some fun in the Indio, California, sun. (Perhaps the Cullens headed to the desert to see Vampire Weekend?)
The Cali music fest has been invaded by music-loving celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, "Scary Movie 5" star Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff and fellow "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz. And the "Breaking Dawn" couple was spotted among the A-listers hanging out in the desert, checking out music not too far away from their pal Katy Perry.

While Perry opted for a spicy leopard-print get-up, the couple kept their festival outfits casual. Stewart was snapped in a white T-shirt and baseball cap, while Pattinson opted for a gray sweatshirt on Friday, the first day of the two-weekend festival.On the day the famous duo were photographed at Coachella, the lineup included Skrillex's side project Dog Blood, Blur, Metric, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Modest Mouse, among others. The shows will continue through this weekend, with a second batch of shows slated for April 19 through 21.
While Stewart and Pattinson soak in the sights and sounds at Coachella, their pal Taylor Lautner is up for Best Shirtless Performance at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, set to take place on Sunday, with "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson hosting. Lautner's ablicious performance in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is up against Channing Tatum ("Magic Mike"), Ted ("Ted"), Christine Bale ("The Dark Knight Rises") and Daniel Craig ("Skyfall"). Miley Cyrus Postponing her Wedding

Miley Cyrus has postponed her wedding with her fiance Liam Hemsworth she thinks they aren't ready !!!

The couple were orginally planning to exchange their vows in June of this year.
But reports now claim that the ceremony has been put off until a later date because they have hit a rocky patch in their relationship.
Miley, 20, and 23-year-old Liam are now said to be holding off until they sort out some of their issues.
A source told Life & Style magazine: "They were supposed to get married in June but there have been so many problems with them, they thought it was best to work out their issues before making such a big commitment. "They aren't ready. Their families are both concerned. They don't want to see Miley and Liam get married and then get divorced. They're very young to be getting married."

Meanwhile Hunger Games star Liam's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky hinted earlier this week that she isn't sure if the wedding was still on the horizon.
She said: "I don't know. If they get married it would be nice to go."

However Liam's eldest brother Luke recently told Entertainment Weekly magazine how Miley is already a big part of their family.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé may have celebrated five years of wedded bliss in Cuba last week, but there are two Republican members of Congress who have some questions about the anniversary trip.
Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart wrote a letter to the U.S. Treasury Department last Friday pressing for information regarding the type of license the superstar couple had obtained in order to travel to Cuba. There is a U.S. trade embargo against Cuba that prevents U.S. citizens from traveling there. Bey and Jay also brought their mothers along for the trip, where they were spotted eating out with them and later walking through the streets of Havana.
The representatives wrote Adam Szubin, director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, according to the Reuters for "information regarding the type of license that Beyoncé and Jay-Z received, for what purpose, and who approved such travel."
Both represent south Florida districts with high Cuban populations. They added, "Despite the clear prohibition against tourism in Cuba, numerous press reports described the couple's trip as tourism, and the Castro regime touted it as such in its propaganda. We represent a community of many who have been deeply and personally harmed by the Castro regime's atrocities, including former political prisoners and the families of murdered innocents."
The AP further reports that the State Department didn't know about the trip prior. And, if the couple did not obtain the proper licenses to travel to Cuba, they could pay a fine. While the embargo has been in place for over 50 years, President Obama has made concessions for travel there for academic, religious or cultural exchanges.

Pop sensation Justin Bieber is “heartbroken” after his pet monkey was seized by customs officials – because the Baby singer demanded Mally accompany him on a long-haul flight to Germany.
Canadian Bieber’s increasingly bizarre behavior is concerning aides after he insisted Mally travelled on his private jet – even though he had no paperwork to show to customs officials in Munich.
According to sources the 19-year-old, who had travelled from LA to Munich, was “detained for some time” by furious customs officers who demanded to see a health certificate for the monkey – which Justin could not provide.
Mally is now in quarantine and teen idol Justin could face prosecution from German authorities and a £10,000 fine. A source told The Sun: “He and Mally go everywhere together. He will be heartbroken. Justin has been acting like a right diva. He is out of control and lives in an alternative reality to the rest of us.”
The friend likened capuchin monkey Mally, who was given to Justin as a birthday present from music producer Jamal Racshid, to Michael Jackson’s beloved pet Bubbles – who accompanied the tragic singer to a number of concerts. Customs officials in Germany demand to see detailed paperwork from pet owners, especially if the flight originated from outside the EU.

‘I always take my MAC wipes to take my make-up off during a flight. Especially if it’s a long one. And a face wash without alcohol in it so I can wash my face and feel completely clean without having oil on my face.’

10. She doesn’t wear any make-up when she’s not working

'I think it’s really important for you to let your pores breathe. I wear lots of make-up so I love having a down look and then transforming into the show look. When I’m at home I don’t wear any make-up on my skin at all. I’ll wear lip gloss or lipstick. I’ll still do my eyebrows and my eyes but that’s about it. If I’m going to the studio, I don’t do anything. I don’t even do my eyes. I’ll just put on some lip gloss on and some shades because nobody is going to see me anyway.'

11. She thinks women look beautiful when they shape their eyes

'It just does so much to pop your actual face. I think highlighting your cheekbones always helps and some contour underneath your cheekbones in a dark color. It always helps to give you a nice strong but sexy look. If you’re not a make-up girl then getting your hair done and your eyebrows done and some lip gloss always makes you feel more confident.'
