Glee' renewed for seasons five and six by Fox'

Glee has been given a fifth and sixth season. Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly described himself as "thrilled" to announce the renewal today (April 19).

Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) perform in season 4 episode 19 'Sweet Dreams '

"Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture," Reilly said in a statement.

"Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante Di Loreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show - and I'm absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons."

Jake (Jacob Artist) helps Ryder (Blake Jenner) in season 4 episode 18 'Shooting Star'

Twentieth Century Fox Television chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman added: "Glee has been a signature series for the studio since its launch four years ago and we couldn't be happier that Fox has ordered two more seasons.
"Ryan,Brad, Ian and Dante have created something that is far larger than a television show; it's a global entertainment brand which continues to touch millions around the world."

Glee recently caused a stir with its school shooting episode 'Shooting Star', which Jane Lynch defended by saying there was "a truth to it".

'The Vampire Diaries' recap: Prom Pictures of You

Elena has zero interest in making this a night to remember, and the cure changes hands again

How did no one die at the prom? That's a little disappointing. But on the upside: The Stelena fans got a nice moment, as did the Staroline contingent. Sorry, Stebekah hopefuls. It appears that ship has sailed. Let's dig in.
We opened with Bonnie visiting Jeremy's grave to
say goodbye and something better than her last words to him, "We did it." Jeremy appeared and told her to wake up. She'd been dreaming and set the room on fire. Over at Salvatore Mansion, there was another fire, and the brothers were tossing a
football in front of it so we could admire Damon's biceps and recap where we stand: Elena hasn't killed anyone this week, but she will if they make a move to get the cure and shove it down her throat. Plan A: They have to make her flip her humanity switch so she'll WANT the cure, and Plan B: Lock her up until they can think of a Plan C. Once it's over, Damon will help her deal with all the emotions she's repressed since Jeremy's death and Stefan will leave town.

At Klaus' mansion, he and Rebekah tried to convince Elijah who should get the cure, and again, provide a little recap: Silas will torment Klaus until he gets it, but he'll also open the floodgates so every dead supernatural being returns to our side. Rebekah really wants to be human. Elijah, being sensible as always (except for when he's sleeping with Katherine), told Klaus his personal discomfort wasn't enough of a reason to put the world in jeopardy. Klaus' smile turned to a frown when Elijah agreed to give Rebekah a shot at happiness, and he told Rebekah when she's dying and asking for his life-saving blood, he'll deny her and compel her to forget him. There's the Klaus we love to hate. Elijah's ruling had a catch: Rebekah has to prove this isn't just a whim. She must live one day without vampire privileges. ONE DAY? Oh, okay, it's prom. So that counts for, like, 20.
Elena, who's bunking with Rebekah, wanted to accompany her to make sure she passed Elijah's test because as soon as Rebekah downs the cure, no one can force it on her. Solid plan. I almost wish we hadn't seen shots of Elena at the prom before this episode aired. When we saw Caroline walk out of the dressing room wearing that magenta print (dress details here!), we knew Elena must steal it. Cruel! But truth be told: It's a better color on Elena. Anyway, Bonnie was with Caroline telling her about her dreams of Jeremy/killing time until Caroline could remind us that Tyler wasn't there to be her date. Caroline, Matt, and Bonnie are going together as friends. Sweet. I had friend prom, too, because my boyfriend was non-existent out of town. Elena seemed surprised to see Stefan get out of the limo that came to pick her up. Who was she expecting to be in it? She wasn't happy to see Damon either when he told her they were going to make sure she didn't eat the prom queen (a joke, but she really did end up attempting it).
Perhaps the boys should have been worried about Caroline. She interrupted Klaus' fireside brooding
to inform him of the "real crisis" that was Elena's prom dress theft. The tailor couldn't remember who'd picked up the gown, which meant she'd been compelled. So the vervain is out of the town's water supply. (THAT EXPLAINS HOW SOME OF THESE KIDS ARE GOING TO GET INTO COLLEGE!) Klaus laughed at Caroline, obviously, but couldn't resist her when she smiled and begged him to go into his "creepy trophy chest of family collectibles" and find her a gown that would make her look "Princess Grace of Monaco" hot. Is that a reference the kids are making these days? I know we got a great gown reveal at the prom, but I would have liked to have seen a montage of Caroline trying on dresses for Klaus. Wouldn't you?

Paul Wesley's Wife Torrey DeVitto Crying!!!

Well that’s not very nice!
But, it sounds like it wasn’t Paul Wesley’s fault that his wife, Pretty Little Liars star Torrey DeVitto, was left in tears at the movies.
The two stars went to see Les Miserables with her mom, Mary DeVitto, at Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood, and the whole thing left Torrey a mess.
We can relate!
The actress tweeted her reaction to the moving film:
Hope she brought tissue!
Luckily, the Vampire Diaries hottie was able to comfort her as they walked back to their car after the flick.
Now that’s some vampire sweetness right there!

Glee Season 4 Episode 18 Latest Hit

An episode of hit TV show Glee revolving around a school shooting has provoked mixed reactions from families and critics.
'Shooting Star' went out in the US on April 11 and showed students hiding in fear after hearing gun shots during singing practice.
During tense scenes choirmaster Will Schuester, played by Matthew Morrison, tells teenagers to tweet and text to spread news of the 'intruder'.
Another scene shows students recording messages for their loved ones.
Despite the storyline eventually revealing a false alarm, some residents of Newtown - where the Sandy Hook shootings took place - believe the episode was ill-timed.
Andrew Paley, whose twin sons survived the school massacre that killed 26, wrote that it was "too soon" and said that producers should have got in touch.
"Our kids and our own wounds are still too new," he posted on the Newtown Action Alliance Facebook page.
"The producers should be ashamed to not think of us and how we'd feel if we just happened to be watching ... they should have given Newtown a heads up."
Local paper The Newtown Bee also said the episode was likely to be "a little much for some residents to stomach".
But Anthony Lusardi - whose girlfriend Lauren Rousseau, a teacher, died in the shootings - gave his support to the show.
Actor Cory Monteith, creator Ryan Murphy and actor Matthew Morrison
"As long as it keeps the subject in the public's mind I'm all for it," he said. "My Lauren was a huge fan of the show. So I'm sure she would have approved."
The gun shots in the controversial episode turn out to be a false alarm and a flashback scene later reveals cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) confiscating a gun from a pupil, which accidentally fires.
Producers also prefaced the episode with a warning: "This episode of ‘Glee’ addresses the topic of school violence. Viewer discretion is advised."
Glee creator Ryan Murphy praised the cast on Twitter in the days running up to the broadcast, calling it "the most powerful emotional Glee ever".
But television critics were split on the merits of the episode.
The New York Daily News said it had the "unsettling feel of exploitation", while Billboard cautiously praised a "new feat" for the show's cast in tackling the issue.
The award-winning show, featuring a high school Glee club regularly bursting into song, has been a big hit for Fox since it began in 2009 and regularly tackles sensitive topics like sexuality, religion and domestic violence.

Portia de Rossi: I Don't Want Kids With Ellen DeGeneres

Though their relationship has endured lasted than most Hollywood marriages, Portia de Rossi and wife Ellen DeGeneres are making no plans to have children of their own.
"You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did. So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies," de Rossi, 40, says in the latest issue of Out magazine.
The Arrested Development star, whose new pixie cut almost mimics the talk show host's famous 'do, adds that she never felt the pressure that many women feel to expand her family. "There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, 'Am I going to have kids so I don’t miss out on something that other people really seem to love? Or is it that I really genuinely want to do this with my whole heart?' I didn’t feel that my response was ‘yes’ to the latter," she explains.
"We’re the best of friends and married life is blissful, it really is," she continues. "I’ve never been happier than I am right now."

Likewise, DeGeneres, 55, feels the same way.
In February, the comedienne threw a big celebration for her partner's 40th birthday, reenacting the actress' life through a series of hilarious skits on her daytime talk show.
"I have to say that the last eight years of my life have been the happiest, best time ever. You make me so happy. I love you, happy birthday." DeGeneres said to an emotional de Rossi.
The couple recently jetted off the de Rossi's motherland of Australia to film episodes of Ellen.

The Vampire Diaries Season 4 New Episode (Pictures Of You)

WOW! If only we looked this HOT at our senior prom!
In the upcoming prom episode of The Vampire Diaries, set to air April 18th, vampires and humans alike end up at Mystic Falls High School's senior celebrations. And given Elena's (Nina Dobrev) dress, this prom looks more like a ball.
While some of The Vampire Diaries' biggest plot points center around Mystic Falls' events such as this, we suspect something big is headed our way.
Though, for the moment, any guesses as to who's taking whom to prom?
Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) are in attendance. Damon and Elena even look like they might be on the dance floor. And what exactly is going on with Matt (Zach Roerig) and Rebekah (Claire Holt)?!
While we leave you to ponder on that, we're declaring Caroline's (Candice Accola) dress our fave. Beading and rhinestones.

Ian Somerhalder in Josie Maran campaign

As if he wasn't sexy enough! Now, he's gotta cuddle with puppies to steal our hearts! And he did… oh boy, did he!
The Vampire Diaries hunk is hooking up with Josie Maran in a new campaign as Josie Maran Cosmetics' new Model Citizen for 2013.
Proceeds from the new limited-edition three-piece collection will benefit the Ian Somerhalder Foundation used to help build a sanctuary for abused animals as well as serving as a sustainable agriculture farm and youth education camp.
Good looks, puppies, and doing good for the world?? Can this man be any more perfect??
We're not sure, but Josie did say this about his role in the campaign:
"I started the model citizen campaign to really prove that doing good is a beautiful thing, and get people inspired to do something in their community. Ian isn’t just a good actor, he’s doing really beautiful acts in the world. He has a huge heart and a lot of energy and power to really change the world."
Agreed! His blue eyes alone could do wonders….
